The Eat Better dog bowl is a slow down dog bowl that will revolutionize the way your dog eats. The Eat Better dog food bowl is a dog bowl for fast eaters, to slow down their eating. Created by an experienced dog trainer who knows and loves dogs. Tested and recommended by vets.

The Eat Better dog bowl was borne out of the observation of dogs gobbling up their food, eating too fast. This 'vacuuming' of food may result in a myriad of problems including overeating, vomiting, indigestion, bloat and coprophagia.

Many dogs have an unhealthy habit of eating their food too fast. They love to lap up all the food in a swift, sweeping motion and gobble down or "inhale" their food like a vacuum cleaner. This way, they end up swallowing everything without much chewing.

"My dog gobbles his food" - The wishbone design in the centre of this slow feed dog bowl has 3 apexes and connecting ridges, which serve as an obstruction to deter your dog from making a clean sweep of the food. The same obstruction also makes it more difficult for dogs to get their muzzles near enough to the base of the bowl, and thus preventing them from "inhaling" their food.

"My dog is overweight" - Slower eating makes your dog feel full faster, thus avoiding instances of re-eating. As a result this slow eating dog bowl can also be a useful weight management tool.

"My dog eats his poop" - Through moderating your dog's eating pace, this slow feed dog bowl prevents coprophagia. Coprophagia (eating faeces) has many possible causes. Poor digestion due to fast eating may in turn result in poor nutrient absorption. Instinctively, dogs may then try to reprocess it by eating up his nutrient rich poop.

"My dog vomits after eating" - Dogs that eat too fast may regurgitate as a result. By slowing down the dog's eating process to a healthy and moderate pace, this problem can be eradicated.

Size Guide
Mini - for toy to small breeds - 16.5cm diameter (base) x 3.5cm high. Holds approx 1 cup of food (approx 250 ml).

Petite - for small to medium breeds - 22cm diameter (base) x 5cm high. Holds approx 2 cups of food (approx 500 ml).

Jumbo - for large breeds - 31.5cm diameter (base) x 7.5cm high. Holds approx 6 cups of food (approx 1500 ml).

The Eat Better dog bowl is a dog bowl for fast eaters and is designed to encourage slow eating and healthy eating habits but it is your responsibility to ensure the correct use of this product.

Clean Well After Each Use
Contaminated food and eating from an unhygienic dog bowl are common causes of bacterial diseases that may lead to vomiting and diarrhoea. After each use, we recommend that you rinse the bowl thoroughly with water and a mild soap solution, if necessary. Occasionally, give it a good clean with a soft bristle brush. Make sure the sides are well cleaned as these spots tend to accumulate small pieces of food and encourage bacteria growth.

Make The Switch
If your dog has problems switching over from his existing dog bowl, we suggest adding bits of his favourite treats into the food to encourage him to eat from the new Eat Better dog bowl. Once your dog is used to eating from his new bowl, you can resume his normal diet and leave the treats out gradually.
