The Abbey is from a range of solid wood, UK handcrafted raised dog bowls and feeders based on the traditional, timeless style of the 'Shaker' and 'Country' kitchens.

These raised dog bowl feeders have solid pine tops, stained and varnished to allow for spills and wiping down or finished with a paint that is durable and washable. The Abbey is a country kitchen style raised dog feeder with earthenware basin style bowls (dishwasher safe). Oak or pine legs. The 7cm high feeder stands on 'bun' feet while higher feeders stand on 'straight' legs.

With a raised dog bowl pets can feed and drink in a relaxed, upright posture, reducing strain on muscles and joints caused by bending to reach bowls set on the floor.

Dog Bowls UK Handmade

Handmade in Lancashire, UK. Fine dining raised dog bowls and feeders designed and handcrafted for your dog or cat and painted to compliment your kitchen. Each raised dog bowl is made by hand using locally sourced pine and oak. The paint is from Farrow and Ball, Fired Earth, Laura Ashley or Little Green. Sizes available for all pets, big or small. Ideal for elderly pets that find bending down to eat a strain on joints, for big or long legged dogs and for any dog big or small to eat in a comfortable feeding position off the floor.

How to find the right height
This is a general guide as only you know your pet and can determine what height they would be comfortable eating and drinking at. Measure from the ground to the top of your pet's front shoulder. This is known as the wither height. The top of the feeder should be positioned about 6 inches below your pet's wither height (for smaller pets subtract only 4 inches). The wither height less 4-6 inches determines the approximate top of bowl height.
